The Two Things that Constitute a Predicto Score
The increasing volume of mobile and online users who’ve found their brand of entertainment in the SMS polls offered by Predicto has given rise to more people wanting to learn about the processes employed by the network. Among these is the method of computation to get the score of each subscriber.
To calculate the score, the network looks at two factors – the user’s accuracy and the survey’s difficulty. Accuracy, in this case, is measured by the percentage of correct guesses against the total number of predictions made by the user. Contrary to what some may think, keeping the number of guesses at minimum to avoid getting mistakes does not guarantee a high score. In fact, it’s possible for someone who votes more frequently to earn a higher mark, despite having lower accuracy.
In comparison, difficulty is determined by the total of poll respondents who guessed correctly. So a user who sent in a correct response where the majority failed merits a higher score. There’s no harm in trying to increase one’s score in Predicto surveys by voting more often since the network charges a fixed rate. Check out Predicto.com to learn more.
